Is the space crunch at your kitchen giving you a tough time? Looking for effective ways to make it look bigger and better? Yes, you can do it right away! Having a small kitchen in an outwardly big home is not uncommon nowadays. Some creative and unique home improvement ideas can make a big difference in how your house looks. Scanty counter space and inadequate room for kitchen appliances is something more or less every household is bothered about. So, if you are planning for remodelling your kitchen, you are on the wrong track! You can still make your kitchenette look larger without moving the bricks a single inch!

Here is a list of few important tips about how to make your kitchen look spacious-

Choose the right colour- This is one of the most important things to consider if you are looking forward to spice up your kitchen like never before. Never opt for bright colours if your kitchen is small in size. Bright and dark colours are less likely to reflect light than that of the light shades. Try to give special priority on white and its closest shades. You can combine contrasting light hues to enhance the space and make it look better.

Opt for sleek kitchen furniture- Stuffing up unnecessary artefact in your kitchen doesn’t make sense at all and especially, when it’s small in size, you cannot just risk hoarding up hefty items that take up a considerable amount of space. You can also replace solid cabinet doors with glass ones and impart a classy look to it.  Just remember, not to cutter the interior with redundant items.

Let your kitchen merge into a larger space- This is the easiest ways how you can make your kitchenette look bigger. So, while buying property, make sure that your kitchen is sharing space with a big hall or dining. It will not only feel like a natural extension of the space, but will also give it a distinctive tint.

Make as many open shelves as you can – Open shelves are always prone to reduce visual weight, thereby making the kitchen look quite roomy and spacious. Floating shelves are also pretty effective and are available in moderate prices.

Make an upward setting- Always try to arrange such setting that makes the inmates gaze towards the ceiling. Apart from giving an impression of greater height, it will also work as a unique texture.

Last but not the least; natural light expands the space. So, make sure that you have a perfect window treatment at your kitchen which will allow more light inside.
