HCC And AL FARA'A Gets Rs 497 crore Pune Metro Contract for Phase I
Hindustan Construction Company Ltd (HCC), in joint venture with AL FARA'A a leading UAE based Contracting (EPC) Company has got the contract for Pune Metro Rail Project by Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation Ltd.
About Pune Metro:
Pune Metro Phase I will cover an aggregate length of 31.254 Km.
Corridor 1- PCMC to Swargate, a length of 16.589 Km with 5 Km underground and 11.5 Km elevated, comprising15 stations (9 Elevated and 6 Underground).
Corridor 2 - Vanaz to Ramwadi, a length of 14.665 Km entirely elevated with 16 stations.
About The Contract:
The contract is of 497.09 crore which consist of construction of nine elevated metro stations in Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation limits from Tukaram Nagar to Range Hills.
The total share of HCC would be 51 percent i.e. Rs 253 crore in this joint venture. The work involves general and structural civil work of station buildings and architectural and site development.

Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation
Tukaram Nagar
Bhosari
Kasarwadi
Phugewadi
Dapoli
Bopodi
Khadki
Range Hill
HCC President Arun Karambelkar said, line 1 is partially elevated and partially underground between Pimpri- Chinchwad Municipal Corporation to Swargate. From this all the elevated stations will be constructed by HCC-ALFRA'A. He also mentioned that he is honoured to be a part of Pune Metro Project with MMRCL. He also said that this contract is testimony of HCCs excellence and capabilities across Mumbai Metro, Delhi Metro and Kolkata Metro.
The estimated cost of 32 km long Pune Metro project is to be 11,500 crore and would be operational by 2021.
